A Nihola's global adventure - 40.000 kilometres through South America.
An increasing number of people are convinced that Nihola-bikes are able to enhance their every day life and that Nihola bikes are quite simply extremely practical. Now Frenchman Kris Han Orpoo is taking his Nihola bike onto a whole new level. The professional photographer is convinced that the Nihola bike will be the ideal companion on his forthcoming South America adventure tour. Starting at the end of October 2009, Kris and his Nihola will ride across the entire continent, starting in the Argentine Ushuaia, crossing Chile, Peru, and Columbia, and resuming in tropical Panama. Orpoo's Nihola was customised with some extra feats for the adventure, such as two top of the range lithium-ion batteries that will source their energy from solar-cells on the bike as well from a dynamo. This will enable Orpoo to master both the long distances involved as well as the steep uphill paths on this journey without too much sweat and pain.
